How the Renault TRIBER Specifications Unite Ergonomics With Power
The birth of my second child changed a lot many things in my life. It taught me the importance of space in my home. Being an interior designer myself, I modified the interiors of my home in such a way that within the same space I was able to create a special little corner for my new little one.
Besides creating two sets of beds, study tables, and cupboards in my home, I wanted additional space in my car too. While I couldn’t increase the space inside my hatchback by making it any longer or introducing additional storage space, I knew I had to upgrade to a bigger car. But a bigger car meant that I had to have a much bigger purse.
This was about two years ago when the TRIBER was just newly launched. I studied the Renault TRIBER specifications and they sure appealed to me. They were so attractive on paper that I immediately decided to check out the car in person myself. As I approached the car for the test drive, I couldn’t help but notice its attractive exterior. I knew it was a 7-seater but was confused about how comfortable will a sub-4-meter car be.
The first thing that caught my attention were the length, width, and height of the TRIBER. The Renault TRIBER specifications mentioned in the brochure pegged the length, width, and height as 3990 mm, 1739 mm, and 1643 mm respectively. This meant that unlike the conventional 7-seaters in the market, the TRIBER had a shorter turning radius and was easier to manage in bumper-to-bumper traffic. The shorter length also meant that the car was far more agile in city driving conditions.
The next thing I saw was the power of the TRIBER’s engine. The 1L petrol engine produced a maximum power of 72PS at 6250 RPM and maximum torque at 96NM at 3500 RPM. This meant that the engine was efficient and provided enough power to exhilarate. The 40L petrol tank of the TRIBER easily gave it a very long range before refuelling.
I then got in the car to check it out from the inside. The moment I stepped into the driver’s seat, I was impressed with the space management inside the TRIBER. The Renault TRIBER specifications mentioned in the brochure did say that the car has an interior storage space of up to 24 L to store all travel essentials and a boot space of 625L, but I was impressed with the way these spaces were designed keeping the passenger ergonomics in mind.
The most interesting part of the Renault TRIBER specifications was the modular seating arrangement. Within seconds, the car could be turned into a 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, or a 7-seater! The remaining space can then be used to store luggage or even a full-sized bicycle.
The car came with the latest in safety and security of the passengers. With 2 front and 2 side airbags for the front row passenger, the car could cocoon them easily during emergencies. Also, ABS & EBD, rear parking sensor, and a host of other safety features made sure that the passenger always remained safe and comfortable whenever on the move.
With a starting price of just Rs. 5.30 Lacs (ex. Showroom Delhi), I would definitely rate the Renault TRIBER specifications to be an absolute value for money.
Overall, I must confess that the interior designer in me who was looking for a comfortable 7-seater with sub-4-meter length is completely in love with the Renault TRIBER specifications.
